The Coalition of National Health Education Organizations (CNHEO) is a federation of national and international organizations with a national presence in the United States, each of which is a professional organization or has an organizationally distinct health education/promotion unit having principal membership of professional health educators. Membership comprises: American College Health Association (ACHA), American Public Health Association – Public Health Education and Health Promotion Section (APHA-PHEHP), American Public Health Association – School Health and Wellness (APHA, SHAW), American School Health Association (ASHA), Eta Sigma Gamma (ESG), International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE), National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC), Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE), and The Society of State Leaders of Health and Physical Education (The Society). The CNHEO has been designed to function in a manner that in no way compromises the autonomy or prerogatives of any member organization.
