Statement of Purpose
Building on principles and practices of health promotion and education, DHPE strengthens public health capacity in policy
and in systems change to improve the health of all and achieve health equity.
Membership: 280
- Each state, territory, and Indian Health Service area is entitled to one regular voting member: the state, territory, and
Indian Health Service area level director of public health education or health promotion or the equivalent. - Associate membership (non-voting) is open to health professionals employed in public health education.
